Temperature Control

The kettle provides five preset temperature options designed for different coffee and tea preparation needs:

White Tea: 170°F
Green Tea: 180°F
Oolong: 195°F
Coffee: 205°F
Black Tea: 212°F

The one-touch presets make it easier to select a desired temperature without manually adjusting the kettle for every brewing session.

When the selected temperature is reached, the kettle provides a three-beep ready tone. The alarm can be turned off by holding the HOLD TEMP button for approximately eight seconds.

60-Minute Keep Warm Function

The Keep Warm function can maintain the selected temperature for up to 60 minutes.

This feature can be useful when preparing coffee or tea over a longer period or when the water is heated before the user is ready to pour.

According to the product information, when Hold Temp is selected and the kettle is lifted during heating, it can continue heating if it is returned within approximately one minute.

Precision Gooseneck Spout

The precision gooseneck spout is designed to provide greater control over water flow and direction.

This makes the kettle particularly useful for pour-over coffee, where controlled pouring can be important during the brewing process. The ergonomic and counter-balanced handle is designed to provide additional control while pouring.

Stainless Steel Interior

The interior, lid, and spout are made from food-grade 304 stainless steel.

The product information states that the design provides no plastic contact with water, making the water-contact construction one of the notable features of this kettle.

Capacity and Electrical Specifications

The kettle has a 0.8L capacity and uses 1200W heating power.

The listed electrical specification is 120V. Buyers outside compatible 120V electrical systems should verify voltage requirements before use.

The 0.8L capacity is well suited to individual coffee and tea preparation or smaller brewing sessions, while users who regularly need large quantities of hot water may prefer a larger kettle.

Coffee and Tea Applications

The Cosori Gooseneck Electric Kettle can be used for:

Pour-over coffee
Manual coffee brewing
White tea
Green tea
Oolong tea
Black tea
Hot-water preparation
Individual beverage preparation
Small-batch brewing

The combination of temperature presets and controlled pouring makes it more specialized for coffee and tea preparation than a basic electric kettle.

How to Use the Kettle

Using the kettle is straightforward:

Add an appropriate amount of water without exceeding the MAX line.
Select the desired temperature preset.
Allow the kettle to heat the water.
Wait for the ready tone.
Pour the water using the gooseneck spout.
Use the Keep Warm function when additional brewing time is needed.

For pour-over coffee, the 205°F Coffee preset can be selected according to the product’s preset system.

The product information recommends using at least approximately 118 mL of filtered water and avoiding operation above the MAX line.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning can help maintain the kettle and reduce mineral buildup.

The product information recommends using approximately one cup of vinegar or lemon juice with two cups of water. The mixture can be boiled, left for approximately two hours, and then the kettle can be wiped, rinsed, and dried.

The cleaning process can be repeated when necessary.

Users should also keep the exterior and electrical base dry.

In areas with hard water, mineral deposits may create spots or a rust-like appearance on the stainless steel bottom. Regular cleaning and descaling can help maintain the interior.
